CastleVille Farming Cheats Guide

Did you know that CastleVille has its own FarmVille? Well, the farm plot is there, there are variants of crops that you can plant on your farm and the harvesting concept is there, but in CastleVille it was improved and there is more connection between these crops to other elements in the game. One of the huge developments that CastleVille added to the game is on its farming feature which is the Irrigation.

Farming 101 Quests

Since CastleVille have added new concept on farming, it is important that you will learn it through quests. In the farming 101 chain, you will learn everything you need to know about how to purchase farm plots, planting seeds, harvesting and the irrigation. You can purchase plots and seeds on the Farm tab of the Market. After placing your plots, you just need to click them and choose what crops you like to plant. When the harvest time has arrived, you just need to click the crops to harvest them. Here is the guide of the crops that are available in castleville.

There are total of 12 different crops available as of now. You see that you can earn coins with farming, not only that you can also get some more items that you will need on your crafting and earn 1 XP reward for each.

Irrigation

As we mentioned, irrigation is one of the huge improvement that CastleVille have added. In the real life, irrigation is very important to keep your crops healthy. This is method of farming where there is a flow of water that sustains the crops. In CastleVille, you will need to place your farm plots near water – this is the pond on your kingdom. When the plots are close enough to the pond, you’ll see that the plots turn to stripe blue which indicates that there is a flow of water coming from the pond. By doing this, your harvesting time will improve in 5%. The cheat in placing your plots is to place them around your pond, to do that clear all the elements that surrounds your pond such rocks and trees so that you can place your farm plots around your pond, there is a quest regarding this. You can place up to 18 farm plots around your pond which is enough to finish your farming quest and earn decent coins from it.

Tending to a small farm in CastleVille

Remember to check your crops, especially the short harvest items like grape, flax and carrot. If you wait too long, these may wilt and die. But your friends can help you unwither your crops if this happens. To avoid this you can choose which crops you will plant, if you log in often you can choose a short cycle crops but otherwise wheat is a good choice since it takes 24hours to harvest them. The wilting time is 3.5x of its growth time. Example: The grow time of grapes is 5 minutes, it will wilt in 17 minutes after it was ready to be harvest. And Wheat crops have 24 hours grow time, it will wilt in 84 hours after it was ready to harvest. So if you don’t play often, it’s a good choice that you plant Wheat crops.

You may also harvest your crops instantly but it will cost you 8 crowns which is not recommended. The advantage of getting short cycle crops is the XP points that you can get from it and it gives you higher coin rewards per ratio, but its disadvantage is it can drain your energy. There is much stuff that you can use and spend your energy aside from farming. Do not forget to fish to your pond every 5 minutes, the pond is a good source of item finding.
