First 20 Quests in CastleVille
Here are the first 20 quest that you might encounter in the game. The order of the quests may vary depending on how you complete each quest. Most of quests are pre-requisite of other quest.
Raise the Roof – I’m so excited to join your Kingdom! But, um… could you build me a house so I’ll be safe from the Beasties?
NPC: Yvette
- To Complete:
Find a good location and place Yvette’s House. Clue: You can find the plants for Yvette’s House in the Buildings tab of your Inventory. - Gather materials to build the house. Clue: Chop trees and mine rocks to gather materials
- Build Yvette’s house to add her to your kingdom. Clue: Once you have the materials, click the foundation to construct the house.
Sticks and Stones – You’ve added you’re first subject to your Kingdom! Before you can complete Yvette’s house, you’ll need to gather resources.
NPC: Duke
- Gather 5 Wood Logs by chopping Trees. Clue: Click on the tree to chop it.
- Gather 5 Stones by mining Rocks. Clue: Click on the rocks to mine it.
Penny Pinching – Collect taxes from every house so you can build your Castle and push back the Gloom!

- Tax Yvette’s House for coins Clue: Click on Yvette’s house
Get Plucky – A Kingdom can never have too many cute chick! Keep them happy and fed and you’ll earn lots of Coins.

Talk to the Animals: Quest 1 of 2
- Buy 4 Chickens. Clue: Buy Chickens from the Animals section of the Market’s Nature tab.
- Feed 4 Chickens. Clue: Click the chicken to feed them. They start young but soon grow!
Visiting Heirs
NPC: The Duke
- Visit your new neighbor the Duke. Clue: Click on the Duke’s kingdom
- Banish the invading Beastie. Clue: Click on the gloom rat
- Earn 5 Reputation by helping your new neighbor. Clue: Visit some buildings and feed animals to earn coins and reputation hearts
No Bull – Think baby Chickens are cute? Wait til you see baby Cows!

Talk to the Animals: Quest 2 of 2
- Buy 2 Cows. Clue: Buy 2 Cows from the Animals section of the Market’s Nature tab.
- Feed 2 Cows in your Kingdom. Clue: Click the Cows to feed them. They start young but soon grow!
- Spend Reputation Hearts to buy a Large Trough for your thirsty animals. Clue:Reputation hearts can be spent on decorations or potions in the Market. Get more by doing actions in your Neighbor’s Kingdoms
A Noble Beginning – It takes a special ruler to turn back the Gloom. Build your Castle so you can rescue Rafael!

Castle: Quest 1 of 2
- Place 5 Rubble Walls to enhance your Castle. Clue: Buy Rubble Walls at the Decoration Tab on the market
- Get your Castle to Level 10 so you can explore. Clue: Look at the tower icon for each decoration, it informs how many castle level it adds to your kingdom
Into the Gloom – Click on Rafael’s place to expand the Kingdom

- Rescue Rafael from the Gloom. Clue: Click on Rafael’s place
From Gloom to Bloom – We have to bring life back to the forest, before the Gloom wins! down with Gloom, up with bloom!
Nature Lover: Quest 1 of 11
- Place 5 Flowers Clue: Buy in the Nature, Plants section of the Market
- Feed 3 Animals Clue: Click on hungry animals to feed them
- Clear 2 Rocks Clue: Clear a rock by mining it until it’s gone! As easy as that.
Good Foundations – It would be my honor to join your Kingdom. Let us make it official by building my new home!

- Place the house foundation for your new subject Clue: Find Rafael’s House in the Building section of your inventory
- Build Rafael’s House to add him to your kingdom Clue: Collect and ask friends for materials to complete Rafael’s house.
- Tax Rafael’s House Clue: Click on the house to collect task
Walk to the Light – This Murkey Mist, it has engulfed our strager! Let us dispel the Gloom and light her way to freedom!

- Have 1 Campfire to light the way Clue: Buy the Campfire on the decoration tab in the market
- Fish for 2 pails of Water… Just in case the fire gets out of control Clue: Fish to uncover the Pail and other items in the pond
- For the safety of the others, clear 10 Rocks, Plants, Dead Treas or Stumps Clue: If you run out of things to clear, you can always buy them from the market
14 carrots – A slogan isn’t enough. Animals are stuck in the Gloom! Like bunnies. Won’t you help the bunnies?

Nature Lover: Quest 2 of 11
- Plant 14 Carrots. They’re wort their weight in Coins Clue: Place Farm Plots to grow crops.
- Have 14 Carrots to feed the bunnies Clue: Click Fully grown Crops to Harvest them.
- Give love to your Neighbor’s crops, too! Accelerate a crop in 1 Neighbor’s Kingdom Clue: Visit a Neighbor and Accelerate 1 crop in their Kingdom
Sterner Stuff – The power of your Castle comes not from brick and mortar, but from hearts and minds. Gather your allies and see its true power revealed!

- Add Crew members to complete the Maiden’s Tower Clue: Invite crew by click the Maiden’s Tower and clicking on the Recruit button
- Explore out into the Gloom 1 time Clue: Use expansion crystal to explore
Getting Wet – Want to perk up your crops so they grow more quickly? Plant them near water.

Farming 101: Quest 3 of 3
- Clear 10 items around your water sources Clue: Choose the items, such grasses, rocks, plants, dead trees near the pond
- Move 5 Farm Plots. Place them next to the irrigate them Clue: Click design mode and select move to move objects.
- Harvest 10 Irrigated Crops Clue: Crops placed near water grow faster.
- Work the Kinks – If we cannot end her captiity in the Veil with light, we must lure the lady out. And few can resist my famous hot rock massage.

- Have 6 Honey to help with the rub down. Clue: Tend Flowers to get Honey.
- Have 10 Stones for Rafael’s Hot Rock Massages. Clue: Collect Stone from Mining camps or mine rocks.
- Have 1 Rolling Pin, to roll out the knots. Clue: Ask Friends for rolling pins. You can also get this from fishing.
Local Legend – Asking Friends is just one way to get items. Try fishing in the pond… you might pull up the thing you need most!

- Go finishing 3 times to see what you can pull out of the pond! Clue: Who knows what’s lying at the bottom of your pond? Click on it to see what you can fish out!
- Pull 1 Gold Brick out of your pond by fishing it. Clue: If you don’t find a Gold Bar right away, don’t get discouraged. Keep trying and you’ll find one eventually!
It Takes a Village – A Healthy Kingdom has many residents. Provide more homes to support your Castle.

- Provide 2 Cottages as shelter from the gloom. Clue: Buy Cottages in the Buildings section of the Market.
- Tax 2 houses for coins. Clue: click on Houses to tax them.
- Gather 500 coins for the Royal Coffers.
A Call to Arms – Piercing further into the gloom will take great power. You will need to construct more buildings.

- Have 1 Barracks. Clue: You can buy a Barracks in the Building Tab in the mrket.
- Collect Taxes from your Barracks. Clue: Click on a fully built Barracks to Collect taxes.
- Have 1 Workshop in your Kingdom. Clue:Purchase a Workshop from the Buildings section of the market.
Fear and Loathing – Hmmm, if my Hot Rock Massage would’t draw her out, the lady mayy fear Senor Shadow’s Beasties in the kingdom. Have at them!

Stranger in the Gloom: 3 of 10
- Consume this free Gloom Rat Potion, side effect may vary. Clue: Beastie Potions are kept in your inventory, they will summon a Beastie. Other potions can be crafted in the Kitchen as well as purchased.
- Have 2 Animal Bones as proof of your heroism against Senor Shadow’s Beasties. Clue: Senor Shadow will summon Beasties when you perform activities, like clearing or harvesting, in your Kingdom.
- Clobber 1 Beasties in a Neighbor’s Kingdom. Clue: Click on Beasties to clobber them in a Neighbors Kingdom.
A Daring Rescue – You are ready, seek me out and I will aid your fight against the Gloom!

The Search for Alastair: 6 of 6
- Exploration Crystals are required for Exploring. Have 6 to dispel the Gloom around Alastair.
- Explore the Gloomy Area and rescue Alastair. Clue: Select the new area with Alastair in it and disperse the Gloom
From this point, you’ll be introduced to even more characters – like Tom, Sonja and George and more too. You’ll be able to continue to build up your castle in size and defenses, and visit your friends to share in on the fun.
